Flower Trim Easter Basket

I was inspired by a basket I saw on Pinterest (if you are interested in seeing the things I pin for creative fodder…follow me on Pinterest!) I should have been getting ready for my class this weekend…but I really wanted to just play…so I did. I will pay later (wink)! I’ve posted a list of all the supplies and tools that I used to make the basket. The base of the basket is an empty can from some green chilies that I used in dinner the other night. I did layer the inside and the outside of the can with Wisteria Wonder Designer Series Paper just to give it a pretty base other than “tin can.” The diameter of the can just happened to be 2-1/2″ which worked out well as we have a 2-1/2″ circle punch. I used a sponge dauber to color the Flower Trim. I may have to make Sweet Potato Enchiladas a few more times before Easter so I can make up a few more baskets…I can’t give away just one!

Do you make your Easter baskets or do you buy them pre-made?
