“Congrats to the graduate!” I’ve had a few graduations this year. I do have a couple of graduation sets…that are from way back; which also means they are way back in my storage closet! lol! So, I decided to pass on the card and make up these adorable Grad Caps to say congrats and hold a little gift! These were pretty easy and quick to throw together. I have been unable to throw away the little containers that our buttons, brads, and other accessories come in so I have quite a stash of them. I think that I am set for all future graduations! They were the perfect size. I just covered them in basic black card stock on the outside and then I made a “mortar board” with a 3 1/2″ square of basic black card stock to turn it into a cap and attached a tassel with a brad. (The gold cord is usually a seasonal item but I had some left from the holidays.) I used a fork to make the tassel. The inside I stamped with school colors and congrats. I turned a bill into a diploma (what grad isn’t going to love a little cash?) and placed it inside.
