Happy Hello For Those Times When You Just Want to Say Hello

Handmade card created with Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder, Gorgeous Grunge, and Hello shared by Darla Olson at Inkheaven
Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder

Hello! I am so happy to see you here! This is yet another installment of my something new, something old, and something retired!

These Celebrations Duo Embossing Debossing Folders are so much fun! I love how you can change up the look just by changing what you stamp over the top of the debossed image! For this card, I paired up the new Celebratins Duo Happy with Gorgeous Grunge and last years Sale-A-Bration Hello set. I love how it turned out! I really like taking a black marker to the raised center of the letters in HAPPY and making them POP! A few color coordinated Enamel Shapes add some more dimension to the card.

It’s been a while since I created this card, so I can’t remember which Designer Series Paper I “stole” my color combo from, but it is bright and cheerful, just perfect for saying a Happy Hello!

This is the last of my series of Something New, Something Old, and Something Retired with these amazing folders so I am going to share Stampin’ Up!’s video with you so you can actually see how these amazing folders work! Plus, it introduces you to the amazing coordinating stamp set which will exponentially increase your fun and the amazing looks that you can create with these wonderful embossing/debossing folders!

Flurry of Wishes for a Merry Christmas!

Circle Slider Card created with Flurry of Wishes and Mountain Adventures shared by Darla Olson at Inkheaven

This circle slider card created by fellow demonstrator, Cindy Walters is ah-mazing! I love how she combined Flurry of Wishes and Mountain Adventures to make this scenic interactive card! It transports you right to a ski lodge in a heart beat! Plus, since the snow flake moves amazingly well around the ski lodge, it is free entertainment for hours. (Yes, I know, I am easily entertained!)

If you would like to see how a slider aka spinner card works. Here is a video from Stampin’ Up! that shows the process:

Cindy did not provide a list of supplies used with her swap card so I am uncertain where those pretty background snowflakes come from. How to Make a Beautiful Gift Card Holder

Learn how to make this beautiful gift card holder at Inkheaven

I am so excited to bring you the 5th installment of my display board samples for OnStage 2016 in Kansas City! As a display stamper I was asked to create 12 samples. We were asked to make cards, 3D items, and scrapbook pages. We weren’t instructed to make any set amount of each and if you were not comfortable with scrapbooking it was not required. I chose not to do any scrapbook pages, mostly because I didn’t have any photos that seemed suitable. Instead, I tried to do a few 3D items in addition to my cards. This is one of my 3D items.

This gift card holder is incredibly easy and fun to do! We all give gift cards quite regularly nowadays as gifts; especially when we are stumped as to what the recipient might need or want.

I have made several for Christmas and I have a FB Live video along with a couple of photos to help you create your own gift card holders! Without further ado, here is the video:

Here are a couple of photos to help you with the folds so you don’t need to re-watch the video more than necessary:

Cookie Cutter Spinner Card

Are you ready to be hypnotized? Spinner cards are addictive and hypnotic! This spinner card created by fellow demonstrator, Nancy Endwright works perfectly and if I let myself…I could spend hours spinning it…it is just that much fun!

I have a quick FB Live video at the end of this post that shows you how much fun a spinner card can be…and a few peeks at the underbelly so you will know how to assemble your pennies and dimensionals to create a fun spinner card.

World Card Making Day Creations and Specials! Oh My!

Saturday was World Card Making Day! It was a fun day for many of us as we participated in card making events all over the world!

One of my customers hosted an event in Osage, Iowa (thank you so much Karen!) and we had a great time creating three Christmas cards. The cards were a perfect mix of easy and still looked wow!

Here is a look at our event and cards!

There were a total of twelve of us in the very nice room that Karen rented. We sat four to a table. Each table was set up for a specific card so we all got to get up and move a little bit during our stamping time.

Here are the three cards that we created:

Wonderful Year with Candy Cane Lane DSP and Cable Knit

Santa’s Sleigh with This Christmas DSP and Softly Falling
Greetings From Santa with Pine Bough and Pine Cones

If you would like to see a brief video of the packet that all the guests received you can check out my FB Live video at the bottom of this post.

Currently, Stampin’ Up! also has a B3G1 on designer series paper for the month of October that I wanted to share with you as well. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Quirky and Fun Jack O’ Lantern with Thoughtful Branches

I love this quirky and fun Jack O’ Lantern card created by fellow demonstrator, Nena Shaw using Thoughtful Branches.

Normally, I’m a fan of a little less fussy aka clean and simple. However, the eclectic look of this card is so very Fall! Fall just has a tendency to be messy with lots of vivid colors and dead leaves and foliage scattered around. Nena’s card captures the essence of the fun of Fall!

If you would like to see and hear more about this card in better detail (some retired items were used and I talk about that a bit), I have a FB Live video posted below that you can check out!

Spooky Fun Halloween Scene Side Step Stair Card

This card looks complicated; but it isn’t. A side step card is an easy fun fold card to do. All the fantastic stamp set/die bundles that we have at our disposal now really make these fun cards to create!

This awesome card was created by fellow demonstrator, Barbara Phillips. She did a fantastic job of creating a spooky Halloween scene that will delight children and adults alike!

If you would like to see this card in better detail, I have a FB Live video posted below that you can check out!

Halloween Scene Creates Spooky Fun!

This picture does not do this card justice! This card was created by fellow demonstrator, Gina Taylor. I love how she popped up the bats and pumpkins. It gives them really spooky little shadows in the right light!

I also love how she did the inside. To see this check out my Afternoon Tea and Card Share FB Live video at the bottom of this post.

Cute Little Mummy With Happy Halloween Wishes!

This cute little mummy card was created by fellow demonstrator, Toni Tessler.  I don’t do much for Halloween but I sure do adore this little mummy. He is so cute! That’s one of the fun things about swaps! Getting lovely cards created with sets you don’t own!

It is difficult to see in this photo – but the little mummy is stamped on our Shimmery White card-stock! This little guy has a Halloween public safety announcement! He wants to remind you to make sure that you and the kiddos are wearing something reflective and sparkly when you are out there doing your tricks and begging for treats!

Coming Soon! A Haunted House Near You!

What an amazing swap card created by fellow demonstrator, Katie Brandt!

I was really tempted by this Ghoulish Grunge set in the holiday catalog. Mostly because I feel that it has so much more potential than just Halloween. I really like multi-purpose stamp sets. I may decide to bite, yet. I have a little time…

Katie’s card reminded me of the Haunted Houses sponsored by the Jaycee’s that I used to frequent when I was much younger. A whole group of us would go. It was a ton of fun. Now, I think I would rather just stamp a card…

I have a couple of FB Live video’s if you would like to check them out at the bottom of this post. One is to explain how to use the stamp-a-ma-jig. Unfortunately, I had some technical difficulties and lost sound before the end – but hopefully – you can get the gist of it!

Thoughtful Branches is still Available!

The Thoughtful Branches Bundle is still available while supplies last. I love this bundle, a lot! Between the stamp set and dies, there is no end to the cards you can create!

This beautiful card was a make and take at my Grand Annual Open Houses in August. It is such an easy card to make – and it is so pretty!

I have a FB Live video posted below if you would like to see how the card came together!

Have Some Spooky Fun!

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

Isn’t this swap card cute? I love it! This card was created by fellow demonstrator, Kivonne Tucker. I adore the tree in the Halloween Scenes Dies and was totally surprised by how tiny it was when this swap came! I don’t know why I thought it was bigger. If you’d like to see a comparison to the tree from Thoughtful Branches – you can check out my afternoon tea and card share video on FB Live video at the bottom of this post.

I love how Kivonne placed everything on the glimmer paper background for a sweet focal point for her card.

Halloween Night Spooky Fun

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

I confess that I am not a big card maker when it comes to Halloween. I am more of a, “let’s package up some treats,” person when it comes to Halloween. I like decorating little packages of treats for my friends at this time of year. So, this year, I passed on the Halloween sets even though I love the Halloween Scenes Edgelit Dies. I adore that fence! But, like everyone else, I have a budget to stick to and Christmas is, and always has been, my favorite holiday, so I spent the bulk of my budget on Christmas!

However, the little bit I bought for Fall and Halloween will go a long ways, and I will probably have some things leftover. I always do! This year I purchased the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper. I really like that there are several sheets in the package that can be used long after Fall is over. Maybe I will get more of the paper used up this time! I also sprung for the Halloween Night Enamel Dots and Bakers Twine; both items are not truly specific to Halloween so I can use them anytime. That was it. My big splurge! Since most of my friends live so far away from me now…I may have to send them a card instead of giving them treats!

I love that this paper had some imagery and scenes in it. It made it easy to create a “stamp free” card! My sentiment is from the Seasonal Frame Dies, which is on the clearance rack. I consider it a steal. I use this die set frequently. I love the rectangle – it makes a perfect cut out for layering. The sentiments are fun and cover several seasons (thus it is perfectly named, Seasonal Frames!)

I have a Facebook Live video (well, two, actually – a silent version and one with sound) that shows you how easy this stamp free card is to put together. You can check it out here:
