Don’t Get Caught in a Spider Web! (Video)
Do you find yourself buying stamping supplies for specific holidays and then not getting them all used up? If you are like me, sometimes you have grandiose plans that never come to fruition; or you just have more supplies than the projects that you needed to make or had time for.
Then there is my tunnel vision; looking at supplies and products and only seeing what they are “designed” for rather than thinking out of the box a little bit and getting a little more bang out of my supplies!
This little video will keep you from getting caught in those spider webs!

Nuts and Feathers
Hello Autumn! Birds of a feather are flocking together, acorns crunching underneath my feet; the landscape is going neutral as the foliage puts on one last valiant show of balzing color in the face of an approaching Winter! This swap card created by Becky Tuttle is a nice welcome to Fall. I love how she used the Stampin’ Spritzer to spatter the background, it somehow conveys the “messiness” of Fall as dead foliage falls to the ground and gets blown around by the swirling wind. The neutral background with a pop of color is very “Fallish!” Here is a video that shows how to use the Stampin’ Spritzer:

How to Mini-Me the Mini Treat Bag Video!
For those of you who attended my Grand Annual Open House back in August and wondered how I made this smaller Mini-Me version of the Mini Treat Bag here is a Video from Stampin’ Up! that gives you a visual on how I did it.
You will notice that my right edge is more “finished.” I flipped mine and lined the teeth up and ran it through the big shot a second time to get the edges even on each side. I’m afraid my OCD did not allow for one square corner! LOL! However, I am a big advocate of doing whatever makes you happy in your crafting adventures, so I will not judge you if don’t want to follow my lead!

The New Precision Base Plate
The new Precision Base Plate is a great addition to your arsenal of Big Shot tools if you love using detailed thinlits! It is designed to help all those details get a nice even cut. I like using wax paper as a layer over the card stock between the thinlit with mine to get them to dislodge from the thinlit easier. Here is a video from Stampin’ Up! showing how to use the new Precision Base Plate:
Shannon used the new Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies in her presentation. This set of dies actually contains Thinlits and Framelits. The Thinlits are the dies with all the details. The Framelits are the open dies. Framelits are best used with the Magnetic Platform; the reason being that Framelits are designed to cut around your stamped images and the Magnetic Platform keeps the Framelits in place around your stamped image. To purchase the new Precision Base Plate click the Shop Now tab at the top of the page!
Happy stamping!

DIY Tags of any Length
Learn how to make tags of any length with just one punch. Most tag punches punch out the entire tag, so you’re limited to one size. Now there’s a tool that punches out just the top of a tag so you can choose how long you want your tag to be. It also punches out the hole for a tassel or thread so you don’t have to do it separately. It’s available in two top designs: scalloped and angled.
