Sometimes, life just gets overwhelming. The past few weeks have been that way for me. Am I in good company?
With a move across the state in November of 2014, I’ve experienced a lot of change for an “older” gal!
- I miss my grandkids – so I had them here for 6 weeks this summer. Who needs a clean house, anyway?
- I miss my stampin’ friends – so I travel back to see them once a month in the nice weather months with longer days (which will be ending way too soon).
- I’m working really hard at trying to find new stampin’ friends in my new town of Le Mars, Iowa – it’s tough for an introvert who has no training in marketing – I find this marketing stuff to be exhausting!
- My husband suffers from headaches regularly and misses a lot of work – can you say stress?
- The summer months and early fall months mean bountiful harvests (I don’t have my own gardens here, yet – but I buy from those that do) which means putting up all those fresh goodies for the winter months – I spent a whole week freezing fresh peaches, recently!
- I’m trying to prepare for 2 Grand Annual Open Houses (luckily the prep is the same – just one means I have to clean my house – the other means I have to pack it up and haul it across the state)
Anyway, I don’t think I am alone. We are all busy. We all have things that bring additional stress into our lives and, sometimes, we find it hard to find the time to do the things that relax us and bring a little stress relief; like creating and stamping! Focusing on stamping takes all your problems right out of your head – whether it is for 15 minutes here and there, or for an hour or two at a time. When you are done with your creations you are filled with the satisfaction in a job well done! This week has been tough because my to do list has kind of kept me out of my stamp room which means that I haven’t had much stress relief and I don’t have lots of new cards to share. Plus, I want my display boards to contain fresh new ideas – so if my posts are sporadic the next few weeks it is because I am working on my Open House Displays. Hang in there with me!
I created this card using one of my favorite sets, Swirly Bird. Sometimes we have a friend that watches over us a bit in our times of stress – does a little egg watching so-to-speak – and we just need to send a little thanks for taking time out of their busy life to help us hatch our eggs! I wish my egg watchers weren’t so far away!
Every time you stop by and visit my blog, or my Facebook Page, make a comment, like a post, read my email, attend my events, or make a purchase from me; I find it to be a great encouragement to keep carrying on – so here’s a little thanks from me for helping me to hatch my eggs! I can’t wait to see what they turn out to be!
