Paper Buttons

This lovely card was created by my friend, Kay! I so love the paper buttons! I will have to put the Sweet Buttons Embosslit Die on my wish list. I hadn’t really been all that interested because I am not into sewing – at all!!!! However, who says I have to be interested in sewing to have such cute buttons to add to my cards? Plus…I can coordinate them with all my endless paper scraps that I keep hoarding! lol!

Fantastic New In Colors!

Have you had a chance to look over our new In Colors? Stampin’ Up! really outdid themselves on their color choices for this year! I absolutely love them! Check them out!

Here is a little card project featuring the new Wisteria Wonder:

Summer Fabric Fun

One of my favorite things about summer is the little vacation that I take from having classes. I miss my girls…but it gives me an opportunity to play with my stamping stuff in ways that I don’t seem to find the time for when I am planning classes! A while back Stampin’ Up! introduced fabrics into their line of product. I loved the Springtime Vintage Background Paper and this fabric coordinated with it…so it was my natural choice to choose this fabric! I also purchased the Big Shot Fabric Adhesive Roll when I purchased the fabric knowing that I am not much of a sewer! I envisioned buying inexpensive tops and bottoms and embellishing them to dress them up…and in some cases embellishing them to match!  This inexpensive ($3) top from Walmart looks absolutely fabulous adorned with these fabric flowers cut from the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and coordinating Designer Buttons. This was very quick and easy to do! I am going to have to practice making 3-D flowers to attach next! I think it would be way cool to dress up some inexpensive tops and then add Velcro to some denim bottoms and be able to interchange coordinating 3-D flowers to match the tops! You could also make coordinating items for your hair, or even jewelry! What fun!!!

Create A Cupcake Topped in Pearls

This color combo on this card is Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, and Chocolate Chip. The layout is simple and uncomplicated. The pearl accents on the cupcake and flower give it a simple elegance. Create A Cupcake stamp set and the coordinating punch were used. FUN! I love those coordinating punches!

Nature Walk I’m Here For You

One of my favorite things to do if I need time alone is to go for a walk or to ride my bike on the trails. There is something calming about the very presence of nature. When we go through rough times it is nice to just know that someone is there; even if they can’t do anything. This card conveys that thought and feeling with the earthy color of Early Espresso warmed up with Cherry Cobbler. The images are stamped on a Top Note Die Cut layered on a piece of Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper. It is accented with 1/2″ Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon. The butterfly is stamped in Early Espresso then its wings are sponged over with Cherry Cobbler and highlighted with Smooch. It’s body is colored in with the Early Espresso Marker. It is cut out and layered with a dimensional under the larger wing.

Nature Walk Four Frames

Basic Black and Marina Mist make a bold statement on this card. The bird cage is stamped on a Whisper White background in Basic Black. A layer of Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper anchors the bottom of the card and adds subtle birds to the background. A strip of Basic Black punched with the Scallop Trim Punch and adorned with 1/8″ Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon blends the two backgrounds together. The focal point is the bird frame from the Four Frames stamp set (which is a sneak peek from the upcoming 2011-2012  catalog) stamped in Basic Black and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. This is layered on a Marina Mist Circle and Basic Black Scallop Circle; all of which has been pressed through the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder giving the focal point textured interest!

Nature Walk Under Glass

The eye catching color combo of Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, and Night of Navy make this a very striking card. The Beveled Windowpane over the focal image draws your attention to this pleasing color combo layered over a Scallop Square die cut which is layered on a piece of Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper.

Nature Walk Birthday Wishes

This card is very simply designed. The Soft Suede card stock sponged with Early Espresso ink along the embossed edge from the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder gives it a bold, masculine look. The Antique Brad adds to this look. The images are stamped in Early Espresso ink on a layer of Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper.

Stampin’ Scrub Unavailable For Extended Period

STAMPIN’ SCRUB UNAVAILABLE FOR EXTENDED PERIOD

Our Stampin’ Scrub manufacturer has notified us they are unable to obtain raw material for the Stampin’ Scrub. We’ve been told to expect an extended delay in availability of this item as the manufacturer locates new materials. We will resolve this as quickly as we can, but we expect this process to take several months.
This outage has particularly affected thousands of our newest recruits who receive this item as part of their Starter Kit. We are working on a separate communication to all new recruits who had a Stampin’ Scrub on backorder. Because of the delayed availability of the Stampin’ Scrub, it will be removed from the Starter Kit, and new recruits will be allowed to place a special order for any $24.95 stamp set (excluding hostess sets) at no charge (including shipping). We will also include suggestions of how to clean their stamps in the interim so their Starter Kit stamps can be cleaned using other methods.
Several customer, workshop, and demonstrator orders are also affected by this issue. We have secured a small amount of inventory from our European warehouse and are shipping them to Riverton. If you or a customer currently have a Stampin’ Scrub on backorder, the order will be filled once we receive the supply from Europe.
This item has been disabled as of noon (MT) Friday, December 3, and we will not be filling backorders for this item after this date. Once the item is available again, we will turn the item on and make it available for ordering.
It is always difficult when unexpected outages occur and we understand this impacts our demonstrators individually in a number of ways. Please know we are working just as quickly and carefully as we can to get this resolved for you and your customers. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will post more information once we hear from the manufacturer and can provide an update.

Holiday Shipping

We recommend you place your holiday orders by Wednesday, December 15, 2010, by 7:00 PM via phone or 11:50 PM via OEX (all times MT) to receive your orders before Christmas.  Delivery times will vary depending on where you live; if your personal experience indicates that it takes longer for packages to reach you, you will want to allow a little extra time for shipping during the holidays.

All orders we receive by December 15, 2010, will be picked, packaged, and delivered to our courier in plenty of time to arrive by December 24, 2010.  But as you know, we cannot control delivery times; holiday mail volumes are high, and our delivery services encourage customers to ship as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Happy Thanksgiving!

God, family, and friends are the fabric of our lives
Threads great and small, bold and bright, soft, subdued
Silver and gold, shining, adding brightness
Textured rough and smooth, old and new
Tightly woven into a beautiful tapestry
Brought together because of prayer
Bound with God’s great mercy, great grace,
And most of all, his great love
He’s made our lives a wonder to behold
A treasure beyond measure
You and me

I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for you everyday. I know I haven’t posted much since June…and if you see me on a regular basis…you know we had a family crisis. We are working on a “new normal” and I hope to get back to blogging regularly soon! Abundant blessings to all.
