Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Oh, the things
you can ink up
if only you try!

You can ink up
in yellow
or ink up in blue

You can ink up
a horse
or ink up a sky
with clouds floating by

Oh the things
you can ink up
any thing that you wish

Ink up in bright colors
ink up at night
ink up on a long trip

Oh, the wonder of
ink, ink, ink!
You can ink up a bouquet
to celebrate a birthday!

Oh the things
you can ink up
if only you try!

Open House Happiness

My Open Houses are some of my favorite events! They are a lot of work to put together but I am always filled with anticipation of seeing my guests and sharing exciting new products and ideas. Here is a picture of me waiting for the fun to begin! Everyone enjoyed the displays, make and takes, and the homemade cookies! Thank you to all of you who were able to attend – you made all the work worthwhile and fulfilled my happy anticipation!

Love Is Never Late!

I wanted to post this yesterday to wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day…however I got caught up in doing some online continuing education courses that I had to have done by the 20th. If I were more organized, I would have scheduled this post beforehand…but…are you ready for it (another excuse)? LOL! I was busy getting ready for my Open House! This is a little decoration that I made for our front door for Valentine’s Day. Wreaths and decor items can be pricey, so I am going to try to do better at making my own. Our new Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die will be helpful with keeping that commitment!

Of course I plan to do more than just decorate my door with this fantastic die! One of the most exciting features of this die is the ability to ceate rosettes of any size up to 10″ in diameter. All you have to do is cut the papter to the desired width before folding and assembling the pieces. Plus, you have two decorateive edges to choose from: a scallop edge and a pinking edge! And…as if that were not enough…you can use it to put pleated designer paper on your cards!

So, Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with those you love!

Thinking About Warm Sunny Days…

Yes, I know. Winter has barely started…and already I am longing for warm, sunny days! Kay B sent me this card several months ago and I just never got around to it…I think you all know how that is…I am in good company, aren’t I? I am loving this new Blogger App on my tablet…I am doing a few posts while I sit in the laundromat waiting on laundry to fold. It helps to be able to fit things in here and there when life gets a little topsy turvy!

Still Thankful

I know…Thanksgiving is over…and we are marching on towards Christmas…but Jess B shared this with me when I stopped by her place the other day. She made these elegant, simple place cards for their Thanksgiving Dinner. Some of you won’t recognize the turkey…he is from a very old stamp set…Jess and I have spent a few years stamping together, for which I am thankful. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, which you can still purchase! Thanks for sharing Jess – it is beautiful and I am sure that it made a very lovely table for your family to enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This beautiful card was created by Kay B. The coloring and shading is perfect! Thank you Kay for sharing.

Thank you each and everyone for your friendship and patronage over the years. I love sharing and creating stamp art with you!
