What’s Going On In Santa’s Stamping Workshop?

I have been in Santa’s Stamping Workshop helping out a bit this week because there are only 9 days until Christmas and he is still not ready! Due to the time shortage I opted to go old school since I did this a couple of years ago and everything non-stamping was in my computer with these colors and I had some stamped tags left-over in my stash. However, we have some current stamps and colors that would look just as gorgeous if you are so inclined to try your hand at helping Santa make bath teas (just google bath tea and pick your favorite concoction)!

Even though I am helping out to make these lovely little gifts for Christmas, they would also make great little birthday gifts throughout the year!

I think Mint Macaron would be a lovely color choice for the tea tags! (I would just place the rhinestones on a few of theswirls right on the “for you” tag.) To match up the color in your computer here are the RGB codes and HEX:

R(146)G(189)B(168) HEX #92BDA8

To use these codes with Microsoft Word: Highlight the chosen word or text, click on the font color button, choose “more colors” and then choose the “custom” tab and enter the number codes for Red (R), Green (G), & Blue (B), or the HEX #.

For your convenience I’ve included a product list of suggested items to create the tea tags below.  Give fabulous favors this season now by clicking on one of the products below or the Shop Now tab above to be taken to my 24/7 online store! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Santa is Warming Up!

I have to confess; I went a little out of my comfort zone in getting this bundle! But I loved the set and framelits, so I decided to give it a go. I did struggle a bit coming up with something that I liked; mostly because I don’t like my cards to be too busy. I was looking for a way to use my “partial” santas from my Home for Christmas designer series paper and decided that putting Santa in the fireplace would be a good way to go! This card did involve some fussy cutting but I love how it turned out!

The Hunter’s Christmas Card

My guys like to go out and sit in the woods, up in a tree, watching for a pair of these to walk by! My husband says it’s peaceful out there in the woods. I don’t doubt that; it’s just that I’d rather stamp! However, I bet he (or any hunter) wouldn’t mind getting a Cabela’s gift card tucked into a card like this!

What is Black, White, and Gold?

A calm, bright night! This card is pure simplicity. Whisper White layered on Basic Black with the trees stamped in Basic Black Archival ink. The vellum with gold snowflakes layered over the top softens the card into a pretty black, white, and gold card anchored by the sentiment. The gold cording is so fine that the little bit tucked behind the sentiment is hard to see in the picture; but it is a wispy, pretty touch!

It’s a Love Affair!

I have to admit it: I just absolutely love the Sleigh Ride Edgelits! I just can’t stop using them! I want to break out into Dr. Seuss verse about all the places that I can use them; but we will cut to the end and just go with I can use them anywhere!

My favorite thing about them is very Shrek and Donkey: layers! I’ve got a feeling that Donkey would like these better than onions and put them in the same category with cake and parfaits!

And with all those layers, I just had to go Diorama! The amazing thing about this design is that it fits in a standard envelope and it is oh, so, easy! Each end of 2 pieces of 5 /12″ H x 8 1/2″ W piece of cardstock is scored at 1/2 inch and 1 inch. Once those scores are in place, it is easy to find the center of the front of the card and cut your circle out with a die. All the layers in the back background get cut out with the same circle die so they line up perfectly. The front and back of the card are adhered together at the 1/2 inch score marks. The verse can be placed on the very back of the card since the inside is a diorama. These Sleigh Ride edgelit dies are retiring soon, so get them before they are gone!

How to Add Sophistication to Your Papercrafting!

Tools used for the above projects were the Envelope Punch Board, Gift Bag Punch Board, and the Mini Treatbags Thinlit Dies***

I would have to say that I have been a paper crafter my whole life. I spent hours making paper chains, paper doll chains, gum wrapper chains, snowflakes, cootie catchers, origami paper cups, etc. When I found stamping and card making as an adult 20 years ago, I think all the neurons in by brain exploded into delightful fireworks! I remember spending hours with an embossing stencil, stylus, and a light box trying to add raised designs to my cards. I spent hours measuring and cutting to design bags, boxes, and envelopes out of paper. I still have many of the templates I designed and the tools I used; but I don’t use them much anymore. The paper crafting world has come out with so many new tools that save time, add convenience and sophisitcation that we only dreamed of back then! Making envelopes, bags, and boxes are so quick and simple now; especially with the tools we have at our disposal! As a papercrafter; I can’t imagine my life without my Big Shot! Have you seen all the papercrafter’s tools that are available at awesome prices right now during the Online Extravaganza? Check them out below:
