How to Make a Beautiful Gift Card Holder

I am so excited to bring you the 5th installment of my display board samples for OnStage 2016 in Kansas City! As a display stamper I was asked to create 12 samples. We were asked to make cards, 3D items, and scrapbook pages. We weren’t instructed to make any set amount of each and if you were not comfortable with scrapbooking it was not required. I chose not to do any scrapbook pages, mostly because I didn’t have any photos that seemed suitable. Instead, I tried to do a few 3D items in addition to my cards. This is one of my 3D items.

This gift card holder is incredibly easy and fun to do! We all give gift cards quite regularly nowadays as gifts; especially when we are stumped as to what the recipient might need or want.

I have made several for Christmas and I have a FB Live video along with a couple of photos to help you create your own gift card holders! Without further ado, here is the video:

I created this card with the new Lift Me Up Bundle. I used an inlay technique with the die. There is a peek of new designer series paper in the back of the die as well. Even with the technique, this card was very easy and I will be doing it in my class using this bundle! What fun!

Wonderful Year Stamp Set

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

I created this card using Wonderful Year. I am rather fond of sentiments with nice big interesting fonts because they make for quick and easy cards.

This card is simple; however, it is not as plain as it appears at first glance. I added wink of stella over the Joyful font and the banner under the Christmas fond. I also added some to the two stamped elements at the top and bottom of the card (which shows up in this picture a little bit).

Adding washi tape gave it a little more visual interest. This card has a somewhat masculine look which I like.

If you like creating quick and easy cards, then this one will make you happy!

Naughty or Nice

I am trying to work through all my Christmas cards that I have not yet shared on my blog! This particular one was a make and take at my Grand Annual Open House(s) back in August! This was easy and fun. I love the fresh, modern look of the Santa!

One of the cool things about this Santa die that I have not yet tried, is that his beard will also make fun looking waves (water)! I simply just do not have enough stamp time on my hands!

This bundle is on the year-end close out and if you want to save 25 cents (Hey, every penny counts in my books!) you will want to order the dies and stamp set separate as the stamp set by itself is discounted!

Thanks For Lifting Me Up!

This is the 4th installment of my On Stage Display Stamper Samples.

This was a fun card to create; and that is saying something because I rarely do embossing anymore! I probably won’t be mass producing this one, but die embossing will be a fun little technique to pull out of my pocket every once in awhile! I love the texture that this technique gives to the hot air balloon.

I will be doing an online class for this technique sometime next year!

It’s Time To Deck The Halls!

Well, tomorrow is Thanksgiving; already! Last Thanksgiving seems so far away, and yet, it also seems like it was just yesterday!

Once our bellies are full and the kitchen is cleaned up and we can anticipate days of yummy leftovers; I start taking down my Fall decor and break out the Christmas stash, music. and movies because it’s tie to deck the halls!

When I first laid eyes on this set in the Holiday Catalog, it went immediately on my list. Which, for someone who does not enjoy coloring much, is strange: right? However, the mice are adorable and I have found that most of the time – little touches of color work just fine.

This is my very first take of this card. I worked on my touches of color a little more later when I made a few for a swap and I liked my 2nd take better. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a photo and I don’t have any extras laying around. I just bought another package of this wonderful designer series paper so I can create some more (and other fantastic projects that I have created with this fabulous paper!)

Here is another adorable card, with this Merry Mice stamp set, created by fellow demonstrator, Kendra Richardson. Isn’t it adorable? She used watercolor and did a fantastic job!

On a side note; I took a class on photography using your mobile phone. I think I may be getting better!

Love is in the Air International Project Highlights

I am so excited to be able to participate in this International Project. I was invited last month but I was struggling to keep up with everything as I was preparing all my samples as a Display Stamper for On Stage 2016 in Kansas City right up until it was time to travel! Which, of course, meant that I had a lot of catching up to do when I got back home! When I saw the theme I knew I had to share my 3rd installment of my Display Stamper projects. It’s a perfect fit for our love theme!

I created this fun card using the Lift Me Up Bundle that will be arriving in the new 2017 Occasions Catalog. To create my card I created the background by repeatedly stamping the floating love hearts around my pre-placed sentiment. To add all the detail to my hot air balloon I die cut the balloon and then embossed it with the Happy Heart Folder. I then placed hearts punched from the Confetti Hearts Border Punch (which is at 30% off right now during Online Extravaganza!) in each heart. I gave each heart a little sparkle with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I then placed my love-filled hot air balloon in the sky of floating love hearts with dimensionals.
