Hello! I’m Darla Olson
I want to personally welcome you to inkheaven, one of the many places that I have been creating stamping happiness for you since its inception of April of 2009!
Like most folks, I wear all sorts of hats that I could brag about here; wife, mom, grandma, etc. But I will focus on the one that matters here! I’ve tried my hand at many creative things but the one I enjoy the most (all my remember-able life) is paper crafting. Since most of us cut our creative teeth with paper crafting in grade school, or before, with paper, crayons, glue, and safety scissors, I am convinced that everyone can create with paper, ink, and stamps and have fun doing it!
I have been creating stamping happiness and helping others learn to create and have fun with paper, ink, and stamps as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for 25 years. During that time some of my stamping happiness has been featured in the demonstrator magazine, Stampin’ Success and, more recently, as a Display Board Stamper for one of Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage events. I have also served as a volunteer Lead Demonstrator for the Iowa City Ronald McDonald House to help bring a stamping happiness reprieve to the residents there while they are in their home away from home.
So, how did I end up here?
Over 25 years ago I inked up my first stamp and put it to card stock. It was love at first stamp! My creation was a very simple card; a beautiful floral image, in a pretty ink, stamped on white card stock. I was in awe and could not believe that I had just made that pretty little card! About 6 months after that amazing experience, I discovered Stampin’ Up! and the Stampin’ Up! opportunity (learn more about the Stampin’ Up! opportunity here), and within a month I signed up to become a demonstrator. The rest, as they say, is history.
I love helping you create happiness and I invite you to create and have fun with me here at inkheaven. Let’s spread a little good cheer and happiness in our world together, one card at a time!
Thank you for taking the time to meet me! To get to know me a little better and why I chose inkheaven for a name please read, “Why Inkheaven?”
