I Ride A Bling Broom!

From time to time I participate in card swaps – they are a fun way to get different ideas from other stampers – and they make for a fun snail mail day when they arrive! This fun card was created by Regina Aldrine. You can tell which broom fits me…I’ll be riding the bling broom! I love how you can use Washi Tape on the diagonal without a lot of measuring and cutting. Much easier than background paper and just as pretty! Did you know that you can change the color of our amazing Rhinestones using a Sharpie?

How to Mini-Me the Mini Treat Bag Video!

For those of you who attended my Grand Annual Open House back in August and wondered how I made this smaller Mini-Me version of the Mini Treat Bag here is a Video from Stampin’ Up! that gives you a visual on how I did it.

You will notice that my right edge is more “finished.” I flipped mine and lined the teeth up and ran it through the big shot a second time to get the edges even on each side. I’m afraid my OCD did not allow for one square corner! LOL! However, I am a big advocate of doing whatever makes you happy in your crafting adventures, so I will not judge you if don’t want to follow my lead!

For your convenience I’ve included a product list of the items used to create this project below. To add any of these items to your stamping collection you may click on one of the products or the Shop Now tab above to be taken to my 24/7 online store! Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Pumpkin: A Fall Favorite

Warm days, crisp cool nights, big blazing bonfires, apple orchards, caramel apples, corn maizes, scenic road trips filled with colorful trees, and the pumpkin patch are my favorite things about Fall. It’s interesting to see the variety of decor that adorns homes and yards this time of year; from bare to scare one thing is for sure, the pumpkin is everywhere! The pumpkin is a Fall favorite when it comes to decorating our yards and homes. There is a new breed of pumpkin that can visit your home year round and spread the same kind of warmth and cheer that its counterpart brings in the Fall and it is called the Paper Pumpkin! When I saw September’s Paper Pumpkin at convention I could hardly wait! These little treat bags resembling wrapped caramel apples are just too cute! The perfect paper craft to make and give away for fun! You have to watch the video to see how easy they are to put together!

How fun! I can’t wait to put mine together! Just the thought of it makes my toes wiggle and my heart smile! Plus, it will be fun to give them away! I love seeing the surprise and smiles little gifts like this puts on people’s faces! Crafting is good for you! Did you know that experts say that crafting can help those who suffer from from anxiety, depression, and chronic pain? It may also ease stress and increase happiness by releasing the neurotransmitter called dopamine. And, if that isn’t enough, the study also finds that it may protect the brain from aging! I’m no expert, but I’ve been a paper crafter for almost 20 years and I know that it has transported me away from my troubles many a time! The wonderful thing about the Paper Pumpkin is that you can take it with you anywhere, all the planning is done for you, everything you need is in the box (except for Snail or glue, and scissors) making it the perfect stress free crafting experience! Instructions come in the box and if those aren’t enough, there is also the video! And, if you sign up before October 10th, you will be helping out a good cause!

Calm and Bright

When I saw the Wonderland Stamp Set and the Sleigh Ride Edgelits I was smitten! I love Christmas and all the nostalgia of Christmas Past. I also love nature so I just had to try this color combo with two of my favorite stamping supplies to see what it would look like! The color combo is Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, and Basic Black (Archival). This was also a Make & Take at my Grand Annual Open House this year! In case you missed it, I posted a video about the Sleigh Ride Edgelits here.

Gorgeous Color Combos Create Impact

Color combinations can make or break your crafty creations. Even a soothing color combination like this one can have big impact. Color can evoke feelings, memories, stimulate, etc. There is a whole physcology of color! I love nature; it soothes me. This color combo “spoke” to me. I wanted to use it in my card making. Jingle all the Way Video

Stampin’ Up! has created a video about the Jingle all the Way Bundle. I wanted to share this video with you before I share my own creations using items from this bundle. I especially love the edgelits!

I hope you enjoyed the video and that it has spurred your creative juices for all the fun things that you can ceat with this bundle! Remember it’s bundle and save so if you want both the stamp set and the edgelits make sure you purchase the bundle for the 15% discount! Snow Place & Snow Friends Storage Tip

I don’t usually store my framelits with my stamp sets. In this instance since they come in a bundle and just about every image has a coordinating framelit and I see myself die cutting the little stamped accent pieces quite frequently. I decided to store them together! I just added a magnet sheet to the inside of the case and placed the framelit description sheet under the cover at the back of the case. This helps to reduce the “storage footprint” in your stamping space making room for other things! Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Friends Stand Alone

One of my favorite things about the Snow Friends Framelits is that there are pieces of it that can stand entirely alone with no stamping! I’m not sure if this handsome snowman is decorating a tree or if the decorations are being hung on him! For your convenience I’ve included a product list of the items used to creat this card below. To add any of these items to your stamping collection you may click on one of the products or the Shop Now tab above to be taken to my 24/7 online store! Thanks so much for stopping by!
